ACL Injury
My name is Patrick Horn. I play soccer, and I am a goalkeeper. On February 15th, 2020, I hurt my knee during a soccer game. After the game, I found out that I had torn my ACL and part of my Meniscus in my right knee. On February 26th, 2020, knee surgeon Dr. Jorge Chahla operated on my knee. On February 28th, 2020, I started physical therapy. Physical Therapy was very hard at first, but after about 3 weeks, my knee was feeling a lot stronger. After 6 weeks on crutches, I was able to walk again, and I started to work very hard to strengthen my knee because I wanted to get back to playing soccer. A few months later, I was able to run on a treadmill. Getting back to running was a huge step in the right direction because it allowed me to get back into shape and also strengthen my knee. On November 17, 2020, I was finally cleared to go back to sports, which was very close to nine months post-op. I am so grateful to Dr. Chahla and the team at Midwest Orthopedics for all they have done for me, and I am so happy to be back to sports after a long nine months.
